Hello ESSO Members,
I don’t yet have the results from the election we ran on March 20th for Region 63 Reps, Region 63 has our ballots but have not yet told me the results. So that will come shortly.
It is March, so according to our bylaws, today starts the nomination process for 3 of our executive officer positions. This year up for election are President, Treasurer, and Chief Steward.
As I said, today starts the nomination process, and that process will conclude at April’s General Membership meeting. We will announce the date of that meeting shortly. So for anyone that wants to enter a nomination from themselves or someone else, please email that nomination to ericpeterson@u-46.org
Remember, any nominee must be present or send in writing to the April meeting that they accept the nomination. If they do not accept the nomination, it will be discarded.
Let me know if you have any questions.

**UPDATE**
Ok ESSO’s, I have a curveball to throw at you, we will not be voting today. I REPEAT WE WILL NOT BE VOTING TODAY. So don’t come to the Moose Lodge, and don’t go to Bartlett High School. Cory has just withdrawn his name from the race. He had personal reasons that I agree with, but he will still be active with the executive committee in other ways.
So let’s congratulate the new Shop Steward, Nick Lucarelli. And thank you Cory for your dedication, time, and service.

Today’s the day ESSO’s. We are voting to see who our Shop Steward will be for the next 2 years. Don’t forget to either swing by Bartlett High School (Door 21) between 5:30 am to 2:30 pm to cast your ballot, or join us at the Elgin Moose Lodge from 3 pm to 5 pm where we will finish the voting and announce the winner.
Not a traditional membership meeting tonight, so dinner will not be served, however we will of course have an open refreshment area. So get out and vote, both these candidates deserve the personal effort it takes to cast a ballot. And please remember, you should only be traveling to Bartlett High School on your personal time. We don’t need anyone getting disciplined for stealing company time.

Hello ESSO’s,
Next Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 is the day to choose your next Shop Steward. As you probably know, the two ESSO’s on the ballot are Cory Deskins and Nick Lucarelli.
You will be able to place your vote at the loading dock (DOOR 21) at Bartlett High School from 5:30am to 2:30pm on Wednesday. After that, the election team will bring the lock box to the Elgin Moose Lodge, 925 S. Mclean blvd. and you will be able to come there and place your vote if you weren’t able to get to Bartlett High. Voting at the Moose will start when the election team gets there and sets up, approximately 3:00-3:30pm and ends promptly at 5pm. Shortly thereafter, the Election Chair will announce the winner.
This won’t be a traditional membership meeting, so there won’t be dinner, however there will be an open refreshment area.
**SPECIAL NOTE**
Of course I should have mentioned that if you are going to Bartlett High School to vote, YOU NEED TO BE OFF THE CLOCK.

Yesterday 4/27/23 at the general membership meeting we closed the nominations for the positions of Vice President, Secretary, and Steward. For the positions of Vice President and Secretary we do not need to have an election because there was only one candidate. Vice President will be Rob Schweig and Secretary will be Beth Lucarelli. We will have a vote for the Steward position in May between Nick Lucarelli and Cory Deskins. More information will be coming soon.
ESSO Members,
We are at the start of the Nomination process for the positions of Vice President, Secretary, and Steward. Any ESSO member may nominate other ESSO members for office. An ESSO member may be nominated to run for more than one office. At the April general membership meeting, the nominee must declare if he/she will accept or decline the position for which he/she has been nominated. If the nominee is unable to attend the meeting in April, he/she may send a spokesperson or a letter of acceptance to the Election Chairperson (Eric Peterson Ericpeterson@u-46.org) before the meeting. Failure to notify the Election Committee will result in declination of all nominations for that person.
A nominee can run for only one office, and he/she must declare for which office he/she will run at the April meeting.
Please send all nominations to Ericpeterson@u-46.org
