Good Morning ESSO Members,

I want to thank all of you that came out to Thursday’s meeting as well as those that came to vote Friday. Very good turnout both of those days.

The contract was voted in 98-21, and Rob Schweig was voted in as Vice President by a vote of 92 for Rob and 22 for Victor Briseno.

I appreciate Victor for showing an interest in serving, I hope he keeps throwing his hat in there. Also thank you to Eric Peterson, John Weber and Luis Lopez for hanging out late and getting the vote counted.

Hello ESSO Members,

On April 2nd 2025, we finally came to a tentative agreement with the Board of Ed’s negotiating team. We have one more meeting on April 14th with them to wrap up any remaining language. As long as there are no issues at that meeting, we will be able to present the tentative agreement to you all on April 24th at the membership meeting. If we are able to do this, we will also have the vote to ratify the new agreement. Time permitting, we will get the TA out to all of you prior to the 24th for your review.

Hello ESSO Members,

We had another meeting with management last night. This process probably would have been over 6 months ago if we could have had more frequent meetings, but the reality is, we’ve only been able to meet on average once per month.

So that’s the reason that we have to continue to have patience, we are moving along and getting closer to an end, it will just take time. Our next meeting is in early April.

Hello EESO Members,

I’m putting this email out this morning since I’ve gotten so many people asking for an update. As of my last update we were going into meetings on February 3rd and the 8th. Honestly the meeting on February 3rd wasn’t so much of a meeting as it was a waste of our time. We got back on the rails though in the meeting on February 8th. Your team has an internal meeting tonight and we have a full meeting scheduled with management on February 25th.

You are all understandably anxious for this process to come to a finish, but be assured that your team has no intention of rushing this through just for the sake of getting it done. We need a good contract and patience is necessary at this point. Never forget, ESSO employees are the most essential employees in U-46, for without ESSO, no other group can operate.

Hello ESSO Members,

I want to thank you all for your continued patience. Our team is growing more impatient by the day, however we will not rush to a finish that doesn’t get us what we want. We have meetings scheduled with management on Monday the 3rd of February as well as Saturday the 8th of Febraury. Hopefully these 2 meetings will be productive.

Have a good weekend.
