Hello ESSO’s. Sorry to hijack this email group for personal reasons.
This week my brother Mark passed away. Many of you knew Mark and witnessed his decline and eventual exit from U46. For those of you that have had a loved one suffer with dementia, you will understand when I say it’s time to celebrate Mark’s release from this terrible affliction.
So we are saying goodbye to Mark in the one place he always loved the best, the bar. Mark loved the camaraderie he received at the bar. So for those that would like to see Mark off in style, please come join me and my family Saturday November 30th between 1 – 5pm at the “Overflow Bar” 454 Redington Dr b, South Elgin

GOLF GOLF GOLF GOLF!
We will be having a 12pm shotgun start at Bonnie Dundee 270 N John F. Kennedy Dr. Carpentersville Sept 15th, 2024. So if everyone could be there before 11:30, that would be great. Before 11 is even better. It gives you a chance to find the cart with your name on it, sign up for contests and practice putting.
It’s $10.00 to buy into the contests. There will be 3 contests. Closest to the pin, Longest drive and Closest to the line. (There will be a line drawn on the fairway and the person closest to the line, regardless of how far, is the winner of that one). You will also get a ticket for a free brat or hot dog, with a bag of chips and a non-alcoholic drink at the turn. After golf is over, we will have an open bar and we will give away a free 4some for some lucky lil ESSO.
Check out the 4somes and let me know if I have to change anything. If only “guest” is listed, you can send me those names so they are on their carts.

Happy Monday ESSO’s!
The picnic went off without a hitch yesterday. Mother nature was trying to be a bitch, but didn’t quite have what it takes to ruin our day. Thanks to Beth and Nick Lucarelli, Rob Schweig, Kurt Kies, John Weber and especially Jason Welch for all your help setting up and getting all the things we needed to pull off another fun event.
I really want to thank all the ESSO’s that came out with their families. It’s fun seeing all of you having a good time outside of work.
The food was awesome! Pulled pork, brisket, the burnt ends, mac n cheese, bbq beans, plus the guy cooked burgers and hotdogs for the kids. Oooo, can’t forget about the nacho bar! Yummmm I’m hungry all over again, can’t wait till next year.
